some red felt baseball bat muffler drums with crimped beds are brass. not all red felt baseball bat mufflers with crimped beds are brass. this was when the transition from brass to ludalloy was made.

^^ Yup I have a 6.5x14 COB pre-serial with baseball bat muffler and the later imperials.

I also have a C.O.B. with Red Felt BB and crimped beds that is brass. At least I am pretty sure it is brass.

Check on the interior of the shell.....if it is COB you will see a vertical weld seam. My scales are tilted towards COB just by photos. If I am wrong, you have the cleanest pre serial Ludaloy shelled supra I have ever seen.

it also appears that the inner lip of the shell turns back in towards the inside which is also indicative of the brass shell.
