Beautiful, absolutely gorgeous drum set. I would kill someone to own that.

That looks like brass to me. You really hit the jackpot on this kit, man. Great job!
Got them back together. Coated Ambassadors top and bottom. Vintage A on Snare batter. This snare is the most kick-ass drum I have ever owned!
Beautiful set of drums, nice job getting them back together. I'm a sucker for red sparkle and red glass finishes.
Welcome to VDF!

I have got to say, reminds me of my first kit, it was red sparkle. very nice, yes, very nice, indeed!
And i love 1962 luddys. I think the best year for Ludwig, personally; but that's just my a opinion.
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp
once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

You're not alone in that opinion! My 62' SBP Hollywood kit sounds better than any of my other Luddy kits hands down. Came with a COB Super and I added a matching J-Fest. 62 was a -great- year for producing very high quality drums at Ludwig!

Oh man! She's beautiful. I have a red sparkle Ludwig kit on my bucket list.
