About to give up Last viewed: 40 seconds ago

Have you considered doing a drumming day at your house/shop? I do them about every month or so. I teach and mentor and bring in a group of young drummers and share. I usually set up 4 or 5 kits and we explore space and learn from each other. No egos. Is that something you might like to do or start up in your area?

Now that is a neat idea. The man that taught me the carpentry trade always said you will only learne what I know, its a good thing to work around different people and pick up what they have learned.

That would be a fun time and there is no doubt everyone would get something out of it.

Thank you!

Never give up what you love to do........no matter if you must compromise the time you are able to play........find the time, find a way.....if you love it, you will stay;)

This guy does free lessons on youtube and seems to be a good teacher. He also does weekly live lessons on his website, for a fee, but this gives you access to the archives of every lesson he has done in the past.

I have only watched the free ones I found on Youtube. He learned me the "Cissy Strut" groove by the Meters (that lesson is a free one).

I don't know.. something to look into if you are interested. I also subscribe to his free email lesson he sends out. Sometimes I find useful things in those.
