Ole troll mouth of babes. Like the way you muck up another thread about ole Woe is me Joke velez, HA ha !!

I just thought it's funny that all I did was use the term, 'angry troll' and -you- popped up ranting and raving right on cue - as if somebody called your name.

It's hilarious.

Thanks for the giggles, Mark. I'm out...

I see Slingalud is making new friends again!

Lol...Like I really care about an over the hill baby boomer sporting a pile of un badged Camcos or keller shells, a cabinet full of meds and oh, his box of Depends, Cant forget those...Lol...I do care about the integrity of the history of Camco drums though.

I was hoping our new friend was going to pop back on here to find out about his drums but I would assume we have scared him off for good now. Geez.

Joke oh woe is me Velez, Oh yes it is like you never started anything is it, Well Joke old man you can throw someone under the bus on a thread that wasn't even yours about a Political post that never belonged on this forum too start with. So cause and effect. Get use to it, You have sewn quite a bit.

No Doubt! I wonder how long it will be before John Velez/Purdie Shuffle takes a drill to his new 1920s black beauty like he did his Camco snare drum. Like throwing pearls to swine....

For the same reason the seller of his drums refused to post pictures of the interiors on ebay....They are obviously Not Camcos, Big Guy!

> posting for the first time I would think this was a pretty hostile place to hang which,... it can be at times!I've been subjected to way more than my share of 'angry-troll abuse' since I joined VDF. Thankfully, the incidents are few and far in-between... but they do happen. There's no glossing over that reality. You learn to deal with it and move on. Whizzing and pooting and fussing and fighting is rare, but it most certainly does happen. So, new guy... don't let the occasional head-butting scare you off. There's a bunch of really great guys here. You just need to take the time to find out who they are and then simply ignore it when the occasional broo-ha-ha breaks out. The Mulligans can actually be very entertaining when viewed from the side-lines. When you are sucked into one of those soap-opera's, then it's not so entertaining. VDF is a cool place, but does happen! That's the real deal...John

One thing I'll add to Fishwaltz's comments is at the end of the Camco LA era there was some pretty free and easy stuff going on with hardware and shells, according to my source, via GonBop. I wrote a longish thread at one point which I now can't find and which I won't repeat in too much detail here about the Copenhagen, Denmark shop Drumstick (still in existence today). They couldn't get hold of the Camco agency for Denmark as Camco was in the process of being sold off. But they did get a significant number of shells and hardware and put these together with Tama hardware in Denmark, selling them under the moniker PJ Drums. I saw a few such kits, always lacquered, often in non Camco shades like burnt orange. If I saw that many out being played or up for resale it suggests there were quite a few more. I don't think there was a badge - at best a silver sticker with black lettering. Are they Camco? Nope, they're PJ. I did manage to pick up a significant amount of "back room" Camco spares from Drumstick as recently as 2005/6 as a result of that historical quirk. Cleaned them out, in fact. But, as Dolfan say, you'd need pictures to see if these are the real deal. And welcome Mr Nucks.

Oh yeah GonBop is a great source of accurate Camco history....Not! It seems we have quite a few experts on the last years of Camco....Here come the ink pens and magic markers...... Thanks to you and stedi and a couple others...You should be really proud of yourself for being able to see the forest through the trees...Great Stewards you are..and of the history...

Are these Camco drums? The lugs are round and seem consistent, but there are no Camco badges on any of the toms (2-mounted, 1 floor) or kick. In fact, there is nothing on the kit that identifies it as being Camco except for some really old Camco skins. Suspicious, yet curious.

Hmmm....sounds like a reasonable question. Too bad this thread has been mired down in ridiculous childishness. My personal apologies to the OP.
