In the first video, that looks like a Taye Go kit, as far as this guy being the best, not even close, that's why he's playing on the street.
Best Drummer Ever????? Last viewed: 4 hours ago
Yeah he's very good, and has some good ideas. I felt his time is a bit unsteady, rushing a little. But very talented nonetheless. It's really hard to set up a drum kit and just play it without others to bounce off and be entertaining.

Very talented, well developed skills...but, can he play with a group? Does he have a steady ride, how are his fills when playing with other musicians? And, just my opinion, but I think his solos are very monotonous compared to some of the greats like Buddy, Sonny, et al.

> And, just my opinion,
Always welcome and why the title of the thread has question marks after it. The question marks are there -to invite opinion!-

Ha.. I'm up for it..
Interesting to maybe raise the fact that this Guy has been at it since the age of six... Learnt the traditional style of drumming and spent many years of reading charts in Big Bands.. He actually plays the streets because he is good at it and is in demand to do so.. THAT'S NOT ALL HE DOES..He is also quite charitable with his time teaching kids... Also unlike some of the "Greats", he is not an Ahole & nor is he a Junkie...
Too bad some guys don't take the time to read up before they dive in with pre conceived opinions..
Cheers

I have seen this guy before and he is absolutely astounding. But, I am impressed in the same way as when I see Ringling Brothers Circus. Musically I am more impressed with Purdie and keltner.
I ain't takin' the bait. That's my opinion and I'm stickin' to it. Enough said...over and out. Group Hug
