Call me tomorrow! I cut a 'creative trade deal' with Jinx but not for the kit. We'll talk and make all the arrangements.

Vinny, thank you man. I've been wanting one of these kits for the longest time. You are making it possible, for that I am deeply grateful amigo.

Talk to you manana!

This is VDF at it's finest. So glad you're getting this kit John, and I know you will dig the J/M Blaemire snare!

Mendozart - Thank you buddy. Part of my Blaemire fever is -your- fault! I love the drums to begin with and following your many projects over the last few years really helped to 'seal the deal' so to speak. Some people think it's impossible to make friends over the Internet. The rationale goes; because the people aren't there in front of you, how could you call them 'real friends'. Well, over the last 6 or so years I've made a few good friends online that I value every bit as much as friends I can see in person. I count you as one of them.

Thanks for the well-wishes. I am most certainly going to enjoy beating the living crap out of my Blaemires!

Go Purdie Go!!!!

Yowza! You bet!

Well, the word came down from Mount Olympus and as a result, I will -not- be stripping these drums! Not many people on the planet know as much about fiberglass drums as Jerry, (Drumjinx.) I'd be a fool not to listen to him. He advised me to leave them alone and enjoy them. He provided several good reasons, strong arguments, why it would be the best course of action to leave them alone. 'Health issues' not the least of them. Sanding fiberglass can be hazardous (if not done under the proper conditions,) to your health. That's enough reason for me to heed his sage advice.

So, black they will be! The snare however is a different story...

I -finally- get my green glass! It's going to look killer behind the black drums!

John

Congratulations Purdie! I know you have had "dreams of green glass" since I have known you and I am excited that it is coming to fruition for you. Can't wait to see the kit with new snare. What lugs will you put on it?

Well done VDB! That is a champion offer you have made.

hope this all works out. those are great drums. I am actually glad that they won't be unwrapped. from a historical standpoint, I wouldn't dare undo what Mr. Blaemire did with those drums. makes them even more special to me.
