Clamshell Extension Arms Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Loading...

Olympic Drums in Portland, has reproduced the extension arm missing from most clamshell Radio Kings. I have two RKs and bought two, naturally. They really make the drum look great and complete. They have them in chrome, nickel and brass. They're $35 each. A bit pricey perhaps, but still very cool.

Thought this might be of interest to some of you.

Cool~! Can you post a pic to see please? I was hoping they'd do them. Or are they on the website? I wonder if they'd fit the repop handles too?

Don't have time to do pics tonight, but will do it tomorrow. They really look cool and are well-made.

Thanks for the reply. I'm afraid that's not the same part. I contacted him some time ago, because I thought it was as well, but he told me that he didn't have an extension arm to copy, just the handle itself. When I can post pics, you'll see the difference.

Stephen thanks for the pic (and message) those look very nice. I'll grab one and follow up as my handle is a reproduction. I'm intrerested to see if it fits ok. That's cool they took the time to do these. I like it. :) I'm sure they will get quite a few calls and emails about them. I didn't see anything on the website about them yet though. In time I'm sure.

Hi Glenn,

Just give them a call at 503-313-3669 and you could talk to Scott. The way they're made, they will fit almost any size handle. The bottom is serrated. and bends in as you insert it. Neither one of my handles were the same size, and both extension arms fit well. The drums look so much cooler and retro. Also, they're very well made and surprisingly heavy.

Good luck.
