I just picked one up in chrome and am waiting for it to arrive as well. I'll post a pic when I get it.

The drums look so much better with this part. It's very Art Deco, and of course gives the drum the look that was intended. I got mine in nickel.

James cool to hear~! Can't wait to see your snare. Mine is a 5.5x14 late 50's but thought the extension will give the handle a nice finished look. Someday I hope to have the scratch to buy a nice early cloud badge 7x14 and will get another one. ;) Good stuff here and very happy they chose to make these. Very nice to have both chrome and nickel too~!

Mine is a late 50's model as well. I have always wanted this piece and can't wait for it to arrive. On a side note, it appears to have been lost in the mail, but i think Scott is going to send another if it doesn't show up soon. Anyway, I can't wait to see your snare as well. I bet a 40's model 7x14 would look great with this piece too. My 40's Hollywood ace has a three point strainer so no need I guess :)

My extension arm arrived today! What a nice surprise. Seems that it was delayed in the mail from the tax day rush :). Anyway, it looks and fits great. It really finishes off the look of this radio king and I am very happy with it. Scott from Olympic Drums was absolutely great to deal with. If you are looking for this piece dont hesitate to pick one up! I've attached a pic so you can see the lever.

Looks great James. Thing is, until Olympic reproduced these, they were so rare that most people with Clamshells didn't even realize there was a missing part. I've dealt with Olympic quite a bit, and Scott's the best.

Congratulations.
