Got back home a while ago. Bernard Purdie was fantastic, as was Zorro.

Two true gentlemen and a great asset to the drumming world.

I got the chance to speak with them both after the crowds had died down and it was really great. Down to earth genuine guys.

I sold a few bits I had at the consignment tables, but still have the triple mount and couple tom mounts someone here wanted... I have to inventory what is left and update my listing.

I saw CT Pro Percussion (Brian I think his name is?) but he was SWAMPED all day! Good for you buddy! "Calfskin: the new plastic!" (That's a classic)

Anyway, other than the food line, which I swear was organized by M. C. Escher, everything went very smoothly and everyone was incredibly nice and generally cool overall.

I'm getting ready for next year already!Walking

Yes was a great show. Wish I knew who was who here would have been fun to meet up with some forum members. Purdie and Zorro were excellent. I got there a bit late and caught the last of Zorro's clinc. But saw all of the Purdie clinic. Man that was classic!! Was a very busy show. Had a great time. Some really nice gear there too. Yes Sir

We went to try to find the music flea market near by but Mapquest directions just sucked. LOL next year. I did see the road we needed to find earlier on the way home but was almost 5pm and that was over at 3pm. Anyone ever check that out? Any good?

John I only got this one of Bernard up close. Was a packed house and everything else was pretty far away. Hopefully some other guys snapped a few more. I was in drum heaven overload sorry. My phone pics are not the best either.

Ugh...I was gonna go, I was gonna go, I was gonna go.

I just had way too much other stuff going on this whole weekend.

Hey Glenn, thanks for posting the photo and the clip. I don't have to tell anyone that Bernard Purdie is one of my drum hero's. I'm so glad to see that he shed all that extra weight now that he's really getting up in years. Maybe he'll stick around a bit longer now that he's healthier.

Did he play the shuffle for you? I love that groove and I make sure to play it almost every time I sit down to play the drums. It's just pure fun to play around with and it sounds great. Wish I'd been there to see and hear him play. You're lucky to have had the opportunity to see and hear the Groove-Master live.

Yes he played the Purdie Shuffle too. I'll see if there's any other YT vids there was quite a few taping the clinic. He shared some great funny stories from the Aretha Franklin/Ray Charles days too. He was also presented with the Modern Drummers "2013 Hall of Fame Inductee" Award which was quite the treat to be there for. Mind Blowi
