File a complaint with FTC?

I've never filed one before and have no idea if they are effective or not. Might light a fire under him though.

Greetings again to all, thought I would up date my criminal investigation information against drummaker-Andy Foote. I am now at 125 days from the time I placed original order up to this morning and still have not received my 112.00. Actually I have miss quoted the total dollar amount, it's 115.55 just for the record. I would like to starte out with the fact that I am very pleased and so should all of you with the responses that are being shared on this rather annoying situation. As I would have guessed there are some of you who are true believers to the drummaker cause and some who are not so, and that is to be exspected when a company or individual does-not treat it's customers on an equal and fair basis as proven by all of your remarks. I do not have to do anything in reguards to drums, may it be playing ,building, fixing or collecting, I CHOOSE TO DO SO by choice. I can't eat them, they give me no shelter, can't take me to work, put 0 gas in the tank, don't do the dishes, mow the lawn and to be honest with you the past couple of years I not even sure if I"m at a break even on the money side of them. Wow, I just described my 3 x wives. So you see there are not a necessity at all, they are simply for pleasure, so as even Mr. Foot stated it is a "nitch market", tough business, very competivity, dogie dog, tuff times so why in the hell would someone treat his valuable customers anything less than the best service you could provide, I just don't get it. There has got to be more to the story, maybe the guy is tanking, one nose hair above the water line, don't know, don't get it. I am not encourageing nor promoteing the fact that any one of you should use these services but simply provideing the information if need be. Better Business Bureau or BBB of Middle Tennessee, 201 Fourth Ave, North Ste. 100, Nashville Tn. 37219, phone (615)-242-4222 fax (615)-250-4245 e-mail - [email protected] or Federal Trade Commission, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington DC 20580, phone (202)-326-2222 e-mail - www.ftc.gov. OK guys, once again thanks for your time, remember one thing, when all else fails hit the drums, if it looks like an X wife, smells like an x wife and acts like an x wife it problebly is an x wife, courage.

Thanks for that info. Ive been waiting over 6 months for 3 drum bags from Andy. I honestly don't remember what I payed anymore (I could check my order receipt of course), but I think it was somewhere between $200-300. I was told on two separate occasions that my order had shipped, but I never received any bags. I was also told the bag manufacturer was short on supplies and that was causing my delay. Andy hasn't returned any of my calls or emails since July. I have always been respectful and pleasant in all of my communications with him, especially after reading his message in this thread, but to no avail. I truly do not understand how one could treat paying customers (and in my case a returning customer) with such little respect. I am fairly certain this is money I will not see again as I have twice asked for a refund and gotten no response. No ill will toward Andy, something is obviously up, but have the courtesy to at least contact people who have spent hard earned dollars for your services and received nothing in return.

I'm not chiming in on Andy Foote, or anything to do with that, as I never dealt with him.

But, I have to laugh a little at the progress we have made as a people. We now send money to random strangers, on the hopes that they are good guys, and will hold up their ends. We do this routinely, without a second thought, and then fault the offender for being a crook when anyone in their right mind, myself included, should know better than this.........

Progress? I really hope that people realize that those drumheads, sticks, drums, etc. that are "overpriced" in brick and mortar drum stores are worth EVERY PENNY the cost over the super-saver internet price. Why? For the piece of mind knowing you are looking at the guy selling you the stuff, he is looking at you, and you both know that any funny business won't be tolerated.

Progress? LOL.................................

I see where you are coming from... BUT...

I have built some very good relationships both as a buyer and a seller over the internet. And a few I've met face-to-face since...

It's easy to understand.

HE'S A RIP OFF ARTIST. pure and simple.

This many people wouldn't have grievances if he wasn't.

As far as "no ill will".

He took your money(a sizeable amount no less) and continues to basically tell you to go **** yourself every time he doesn't return a call or gives an excuse.

You are a far more forgiving guy than I am.

All of you who have these long standing issues should have him charged with fraud.

I have ordered some items from him but since August I have no answer. What should I do?

Andy has been in business a long time and built up a good reputation. That's why we order from him and send money. I looked through some of my receipts and found some dating back to 2007. I do know that I purchased from him well before that and NEVER had any issues.

For myself, the issues began this year. I was fortunate to get my custom-built snare shell from him, even though it took much longer than it should.

I've since found other sources for my parts.

DSH (drummaker.com) has a huge internet presence. Is everyone placing orders getting ripped off?
