the technique you are considering is called "decoupage"

search that and you'll find tons of info on what you want to do.

best of luck.

Come on - we're all dying to know what was behind that turf! Wasn't today the day you were taking delivery?

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

ok guys, got some good news and some bad news, good news...drums are here and are the perfect canidate for my project. bad news...being the perfect canidate means there is no wrap under the sparkles. all drums are bare shells. i took photos for the b4 part of my project, should i start a new thread with those photos and give more details or just keep going with this one?

ps, sorry to keep ya waiting so long D.john, it was about to drive me crazy waiting too, the drums got here yesterday after i left for work and i didn't even get to see them til this morning. im still excited, i just want to set them all up and give em a work out just to see what they are gonna sound like.

Just for the hell of it i dug around and found this:http://www.sicskinz.com/trippy.html The one called "breathe" looks like tie-dye fractal type stuff

If cloth and/or wallpaper don't end up working, this could be another option for a Tie-Dye look. I'm looking forward to seeing your results! Really sparked my curiosity! I also like #1 (reminds me of my Grateful Dead years). Keep us posted and thanks for the enthusiasm!

thanks for sharing the link funkypoodle. i think i looked at that one other time. they do have some realy cool wraps but believe it is kind of expencive.

also thank you for your intrest in my project. and i do believe i am gonna go with #1, it is more original tie dye and also reminds me of the Greatful Dead times too. ;)

keep an eye out, i have another thread on this subject and will be adding more.
