I saw these on ebay yesterday with a starting bid of $500. Never knew Slingy made an acrylic kit, but it looks like it's brand new. Wonder how they sound?

That's one Beautiful kit,

(jumped to just over 600 at the present)..I played one once.. loud & very resonant.

I reckon they could go to some lucky dude for 1500-2000.. and be worth every cent.

Cheers

(Get a pedicure & shave your legs before you play these.. you'll be on show)

It'll probably wind up being too rich for me, but let's see what happens. No reason to jump in until the weekend.

If (big if) it works out, I would use a Super S-O-M post and a TDR COB snare with these. Not period correct, but still Slingerland, and I'll need to play these.

How sacrilegious would it be to use a clear Vistalite snare with these?

And, don't wear a kilt.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Good luck hope you can snag them. On my bucket list of kits to buy. Wish I could jump in but can't swing it no way. You could always get a new clear snare shell and some Slingy hardware and make your own. Or use the Vista if you have one on hand. Seeing how the Phantom snares seem pretty rare and all.

There is another one of these kits on Ebay now as well that were put up by a guy in Germany. The German kit has no snare with it at all and his buy it now price was around $3,500.00. I have only seen a few pop up for sale in the past several years and I don't believe that Slingerland made a ton of them as I don't think they were able to compete with the Vistalites. Have only seen one kit n person and have never seen a kit with the matching snare.
