You said that Steve Schmit worked on the set. Do you know if he ever worked in a music store in Orange,ca about 25 years ago? ...Mikey

We schmoozed a bit during the pickup. He mentioned that he had some music store experience, but we didn't discuss where or when.

$2,650 in Pennsylvania. Snare drum, but no bottom rims for any of the toms. Local pick-up only.

Hmmm...rims and hardware should be standard bits. I'm sure you could pick those up, right? Looks like the other hardware (pedal, stands) are NOT original. I didn't see a hi-hat either...

Are serial numbers all sequential when bought in a kit? I don't recall (I'll have to check mine next time I visit my storage...i.e., Mom's basement).

OK kids. I finally snapped a set of photos of my set. My apologies for any delays, but I haven't been back to Minnesota in a while. To wit, the details are as follows:

• original owner

• excellent condition (see photos)

• complete set (bass, snare, 2 mounted toms, floor toms, cymbal stands)

• original invoice, original warranty cards, etc.

• all heads are original (except for snare batter)

• full set of hard cases

Minor problem are as follows:

• 2 minor scratches (one is on side of bass drum, 2" long…came that way from factory)

• snare "tape" is deteriorated (should be easy to restore)

• one cymbal stand has a tightening screw missing

• bass drum pedal leather strap is broken (easily replaced)

• tensioning spring for bass drum pedal is missing (looking for it)

• normal wear & tear evident on cymbal stands (i.e., some rubber feet missing, scratching of chrome, etc.)

• bass drum logo (orig. head) has some scratched off bits (see photos)

At any rate, the set safely resides in Minnesota, and I'm considering parting with it. If anyone has any thoughts/suggestions/offers, I'm open to listening and/or talking about it. (serial numbers upon request, if you cannot see in photos)
