This don't pop? The photos of the 125th Anniversary above don't pop - I agree. But. I'm sitting right across from my bass drum with the new Silver inlay now and ....it does pop. This photo here does not ever do it justice. I only have one hoop on the drum now - waiting for the other head - and I think this drum will look pretty spectacular with the Silver Sparkle hoops....much more than I thought they would. I will agree that the Gold Sparkle does STAND OUT more...much more of a contrast with Gold & Green.

I'm posting the Silver Sparkle photo again .....ya...it pops nicely IMHO.

I picked up the new bd resonant head - Gretsch Off-Set Logo Remo Fiberskyn.

Haven't set them up yet but thought I'd post a few to show what all the little orphans look like together...at last....with the bass drum Silver Sparkle inlay strip.

Photos just do not do justice (we all know that) - these drums look a lot nicer when you're standing right next to them.

Thanks Mark

It's taken me a while and I had to drive into the good ole USA today (4hrs) to pick it up. It will be very hard to part with these. I think the Silver Sparkle is a good choice with the Chrome hardware here.

Here's some more photos as of a few minutes ago after setting it up.

Sorry for the poor photos - I have an inexpensive camera and the lighting here is not that great so the photos will vary in shade depending on the angle I take them at.

Gary, I still like the gold version better, but I have to admit the drums look very classy with the trim you've chosen. Considering the hardware, you made the best choice. I'm just sorry that you're selling them after all the TLC, labor and hard earned cash that you put into them.

Wishing you the very best of luck with the sale. I'm sure they'll find a good home.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Thanks John.

A little harder to sell them in 'the great white north' but I do have someone interested - a collector/seller - in the Seattle area.

The interest is for my Valjes, 40's and these...a bundle price.

I offered to drive the drums there but there's a snag at the boarder. The USA side told me yesterday that anything over $2500 has to be 'brokered.' I may let everything go for $2499 haha.
