So far just a little rain and some minor wind here. They're predicting that its going to go inland over Pennsylvania or NYC by tomorrow, that should get it to fizzle out. Probably not really going to affect New England at all........but, you should hear the media around these parts, you'd think it was the end of the world or something....LoLoLoLo The media always seems to blow things way out of proportion (no pun intended) I've seen my fair share of hurricanes in New England in the past, this one should be no different than those....much like the one we were supposed to have a couple of years ago that completely missed us! (Since when can the weathermen predict the weather anyway??!!??)

Like we say up here, its New England, if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes, it will change. Excited

I'm with you Ludwig-Dude!

But, those along the CT coast are in for some serious trouble, as is Manhattan. I think that Boston will be fine, but the potential for serious water rise along the NY-CT coast is the biggest threat to life and property (excluding falling trees). Eye Ball

The good news is the leaves are mostly down, so the trees can take a lot more wind that way. We had a ton of tree work done earlier in the year so we should be OK, but you never know...

We're supposed to start getting hit here in southern Ontario beginning tonight. It's been raining for about four days. The high winds are expected to gust up to 100 kilometres an hour.

Best of luck my east coast friends. Please do everything possible to stay safe!

I'm just across the lake from you, John. If you happen to blow in, my beer fridge will be stocked and ready, amigo!

Just heard a earthquake hit Canada? Man hope everyone's ok there.

We're almost at high tide, cops, fire evacuating some areas. Concrete co has front loaders bring sand and gravel to the creek area buildings. Gonna be a close one here far as flooding goes. Power sub stations are on the coast and will shut down power to prevent major damage.

We're packed ready to leave the area if needed. Me and the wife, 3 kids and 5 cats in 2 cars. Yes Sir Fun times.

Thanks Jeff! First high tide is here and some flooding by the creek area down the street but I think we'll be ok here. I'm going back at midnight with my son if we can get there. Front loaders are still packing the area with sand and gravel which is a HUGE help. Major props to these guys from the concrete company. Lots of traffic here as people evacuate the lower areas.

The storm itself still has to hit us and was pushed back to later this evening. I'll update long as the power is still on. We have everyone in our prayers with this storm till we all ride it out.

Peace~!

First pic is right down the street from us at high tide. Second is the beach area across town a bit.
