a billboard is down next to our beloved Citgo sign across from Fenway Park and a tree went down across the power lines outside my house about 18 miles north of Boston. I still have power but the tree is hanging on the lines.

We're still 'power on' here in southern Ontario, for the time being. Lots and lots of rain, like Salty said, and he's a few hours away from me.
Winds getting close to 80km/h now and are supposed to hit 100 km/h.
No flooding yet either, although we have 3.5 meter (11 feet roughly) waves
pounding the beach (we're on the south end of Lake Huron). Bunch of lake freighters anchored up in the river because it's too dangerous for them to be in the lake (think Edmund Fitzgerald).
Take care on the coast!

7pm here in Reading. It's been raining harder as the day wears on. The winds are really starting to kick up a little bit too. I'm hoping that the storms' passage over land will take some of the sting out of it. Problem is; it's a slow one. This is only the very beginning. It's supposed to hang around for a couple of days!
If I disappear, it's only because of power outage and I'll be back as soon as I can. If we get real lucky, we won't be among those who lose power.
My thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the path of this Thing.
Peace... stay safe!
John
To all those who may find themselves in harms way stay safe and all the best to you I hope it is not to bad ... peace
Lost power for a little less than 40 minutes. I'm lucky to have one of the last of the local electric companies rather than the "too big for their britches" National Grid. The little guys know their territory and they know how to take care of it well.

I have my generator gassed up and am ready to fire her up if needed. I bought it during the last power outage and, no lie, the power came on as I was taking it out of the box! I decided to keep it figuring I would be broke during the next storm and cursing myself for taking it back! It is big enough to keep the milk cold, put a couple lights on, and keep my computer up and running! I will switch over to my verizon mobile hot spot for a connection and life will be same!
Watching the news from my safe cozy middle of Europe makes me at least a little bit more content with my country not having a sea.
Hope you guys are all right, I'll pray for you. Hang on.
The weather sure is weird all over this world. We've had six inches of snow here this weekend, which is not usual and my dad says the conditions for radio broadcast are strangely good, the waves travel much further than usual... something's in the air.

I've just read that Queens is burning and that there are 7m high waves expected on lake Michigan.
Hang in there guys, I really hope you and everyone gets through this safe.
