Tell me about a bronze Supra Last viewed: 2 hours ago

That drum only came in 5 or 6.5x14 not 5.5.I highly doubt that it's a 60's brass keystone badge, but more likely an 80's or newer, large aluminum Chicago or Monroe badge drums.Ludwig only made ludalloy or brass supras in the 60's,and the COB serial numbered drums, are rare.If it's a bronze supra, with a small brass serial numberd badge, then it's possibly prototype, and rare indeed.Ludwig didn't introduce bronze supras till the early 80's.Pics will help.

If it's who I think you mean, he lives down under and is most certainly trustworthy. I've never heard of a '60's bronze Supra (or Super) either. Anyway, as Magnus says, the 80's models are fantastic drums.

It is, and he knows you. Don't forget, I've got dibs :-)

Chris who? Besides, the seller is a collector who bought it off a collector. A COB Supra is not that special.

McCartney, Dire Straits, The Water Boys, Julian Cope? sounds like Chris Whitten or thinking about it more, Dave Mattacks

No, but I like both of those drummers. Dave Mattack's work on XTC's 'Nonesuch', and CW's work on 'St. Julian' by Julian Cope are both great performances.

Sorry - I must have this all wrong. If it's not Chris Whitten, I don't know the seller, so cannot vouch for him. Chris and I have chatted about Dandy/Drouyn and he has a great snare/drum/cymbal horde. My mistake.

how rare would a bell bronze supra be,? and what would it b worth? /.....a small fortune you think

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

If it turns out to be legit, it will probably be more than I can afford, so this may be a moot point.

Thanks for the reply.
