i love the idea of getting younger ones into music especially drumming. i just helped a young friend of mine get his first set up and running. its a peice of crap starter set but i told him i would look for some better shells so he could upgrade. in the meantime he is playing those drums to death. before you burn them donate them to goodwill or salvation army. someone will pick them up and use them and the donation is tax deductable.

Thanks Blair for starting this thread...I think maybe some good deeds may arise from it...
I`ve donated a bunch of percussion instruments to my kid`s school like tambourines, castanets, finger cymbals, etc...They use them in their music program and also in school plays, musicals, etc. as well...I`m about to donate a drum kit (Backbeatkeeper donated the snare) to help raise money for their nutrition program...It all goes to a good cause...
Jeff and Glenn - you guys are definitely on the right track...If I have the parts, I certainly would donate them to a member`s charity project...
