Holy grail for me is quite humble actually..It would be my first drum kit that i purchased with my communion money, which my now deceased father took me to buy..It was the first and only time he ever did something like that with me, and it was a great day for both of us..That kit, was a first run 1983 Trak HRK drum kit in "Battleship grey" wrap finish with black hardware.. I was 12 going on 13.. I once found that exact kit on my local classifieds for something like $80 and i should have bought it, just to have it for nostalgic and sentimental reasons.. ;)

Man, What a sweet comment. I hope one day you find it again. Not the model but the very same one. It reminds me when we look back in life and treasure the moments when we were all heart and emotion. The short-lived times of innocence.

with respect - took you long enough! :)do yourself and your sanity a favour and walk away from this. Trust the silent readership knows you are correct. It's a very simple concept and you can explain to a person but you can't make them understand. :)mitch

thanks mitch, you are 100% correct. I really like this forum it has been very helpful to me and also very enjoyable but sometimes you react to a subject and you are amazed at someones slanted thinking...even after i tried to restate my point and even after i tried to quell the tension it remained.

I don't post much i usually just enjoy reading the posts....maybe i should continue that path

Well I for one hope you continue to post. It is a great forum indeed but even here one can get their boot stuck in a bog of incomprehension lol. I regret every millisecond spent trying to reason with certain members here but am determined to learn from my mistakes and ignore them in future...

Cheers,

Mitch

" YES, what you are reading is correct. If this bass drum had a round badge on it rather than the early SSB, the value of this kit would be over $12,000 easily." Steve Maxwell

So would a RB Gretsch in the same condition and with the same hardware as the Camco pull more than $13.5K?

Never play it the same way once.

Ya, everyone who disagrees with you is an idiot.

Does being owned by a famous drummer make the drums sound better?

No, but it gives it a historic value and in my book that's much more relevant than a kit just being rare.
