Ska - That B/O is a nice early 70's (pointy badge) just like robyn's. They really are excellent sounding drums with a wide tuning range suitable for any style of music.

nice drums, guys. here are two I own: the 1st is a counterfeit NYC BofE 6.5 that I love to gig; the 2nd is a 10-lugger I got off the bay. I've got a 1st gen. around here somewhere, & a nice standard KB one, too. Oh...& a 10-lug blacro, too. All great drums...marko

Sweet drums! What do you mean by 'counterfeit'? Getting a NY BoE 6.5 back in my stash is on my bucket list!

Well, I wouldn't necessarily call it counterfeit. It is after all, still 100% Ludwig. ;-)

PS, I've always wanted a NYC 6.5 but have never found one I could afford, so I made this out of a 6.5 blacro---stripped, re-badged, p-83. I was inspired by drumjinx--he has one just like it. 100% Ludwig, but a fake, none-the-less.

I don't know what a real one sounds like, but this thing kills! Only deep metal snare I've ever gigged...........marko

There's something neat about a drum you cobble together yourself; custom to/by you. Long as it's all Ludwig parts, I'd feel real good about it. Any pics of the completed drum?

Holy Crapolli Marko! That 'fake' came out great. I may do one of those myself!!!

Anybody have any word on how Jinx is doing these days?
