Boys, I have to apologize for the photos. It's almost like an anti-climax. The drums have a black background and as hard as I tried to show off the pattern in the wrap, they just look like black sparkle drums in the photos. You'll have to take my word that the wrap is incredible in-person. Photos do not do this wrap justice. Again, sorry the pics didn't show the finish better. I included a shot of the swatch so you can see what it looks like up close.

As for the drums... imagine getting a brand new set of 1959 Ludwigs. That's what this is. Precision reworked the edges and the drums tuned up easily. The bass drum is something special. All of the drums have that great, warm, resonant 3-ply mahogany tone that I love so much. I'll be playing this kit for awhile...

And here is what it looks like up close, in-person...

Bravo ! I have a snare that is capri and may have to wrap some orphans to go with it . I wonder if they will send me a swatch of it as the pics and the swatch online look so much different then I can see it in person . Thanks for posting and congrats .

Donnie - Call Precision and ask for Andrea. She will send you a swatch of the wrap so you can see it before you buy. It's a real close match to the original Capri! The only difference I can see is the addition of more turquoise, gold and orange flecks. It's a stunning finish. I wish I could have captured it better in the photos.

Not at all sir! I mean I know what you mean, but the kit still looks outstanding. I find a lot of wraps don't photograph as well as they look in person. Maybe cuz most of us don't have $1000 digital cameras...

Anyway I'd love to take a spin on those drums, you must be super jazzed!

Holy edge of my seat Batman......all I can say is WOW.That's just a beautiful set of drums, and I'll bet NY to a brick, that they sound as good as they look. You just may start a capri pearl rewrap movement John.Nicely done, and the turn around time, was just remarkable.

It reminds me a Star Trek dialog between Capt.Kirk and Scotty, when Kirk asks him,"Mr. Scott,do you always multiply your repair times ,by a factor of two"? Scotty says"Aye sir,how else can I maintain my reputation as a miracle worker".

Again best of luck with them....a keeper for sure:D

Thanks guys... I'm really upset that the photos don't show off how beautiful the finish is. The drums came out spanking new. For me it's like finding an NOS trans badge kit in mint condition. They play and sound like butter melting on hot pancakes. :D

I've been wailing on them all day and after I'm done here I'm going back to wail on them some more...

Here's a couple more attempts to show this finish. It still doesn't look anything like it does in-person. This wrap just doesn't want to be photographed!
