It's a 1930's 7"x14" Radio King that has a mahogany shell that matched the kit perfectly. Snares were flipped off for the video.

Donnie - Call Andrea at Precision and ask her to send you a swatch of the wrap. You'll have it in your hands just a few days after. Tell her you saw how my kit came out! Start a thread if you do it, I want to see how yours turns out. :DJohn

I have some samples on the way including the Capri Pearl . I am excited to see it in person

Okay, not worth doing youtube, I tried that once and its hard to do a audio only one, I was hoping there would be a way to just attach my sound file direct to the forum. Not a big deal, thanks anyway.
It's pretty easy to start a bandcamp page [audio only]. Then you just need your firewire from the unit to the computer. If you don't want to edit the files in a program, just be tight with the recording; minimal silence at beginning and end. Get someone else to hit rec and stop, or *run* from the unit to the drums and back lol.
John I know you're just foolin around but I liked that clip a lot!

Precision Drum is in the middle of setting up a brand new website, but Gary posted the kit up here: (Scroll down a little to the Capri kit.)

Donnie - Tell me what you think when you get to see it in person.
Mitch - Thanks... it was really a sound-file I created to demonstrate the jingle-stick. It's real good for tom based grooves. The jingles add a nice percussive sound element, and it makes it sound like more than one guy is playing. I enjoy playing with it fairly regularly, a 'favorite toy' so to speak. :p
They made a really cool collage of my photos for the site:

Donnie - You get the samples from Precision yet?
John
Just got it ! that wrap is so nice and I will end up using it on a project I am planning for sure . It is not a dead match for my snare drum but when the set is all together it will just fine . I am impressed with it .

ah, you guys dont want to hear me torment my drums anyway.
John, very cool that you kit is on that web site. They are very nice drums mister!
Besides, I dont know what fire wire is,, is it a drink?
Man that looks sharp!
I've got a WMP late 50's Radio King that has damaged wrap on it. It's not really so bad that it requires a rewrap but it isn't perfect either. I was planning to leave it alone, but re-doing it in this stuff is suddenly very tempting. hmmmm?
Donnie - Yes, it's a beautiful wrap. Looks great with the chrome hardware on it.
Jeff - Gary did a great job creating that composite of my photos using the wrap as a background. Precision is in the middle of creating a whole new look for their website. I'll post up a link once the site is up and running.
K.O. - The stuff is really expensive, but if you're only doing one drum it won't be prohibitive and it'll look great. You can play Black snares with any color kit! :D
