John, I thought you bought some fancy smansy lights to photograph Big Blue.
Ah, the drums now,,, hm, well they are cool and I bet they do sound wonderful. I guess I just like wood drums more, I'm just not a fan of black drums in any way. Heck I think duco finish's are ugly, its just my taste. But you have some real awesome drums there, what a great find and everyone but me loves the wrap so I'm excited for you, now go back to playing them.
Thank you!

That's what I used to take all the photos. It doesn't matter, the wrap just has to be seen in-person to be fully appreciated. Photos and lights show color variations that aren't there with the naked eye.
I love black drums. I learned on a 62' Ludwig black lacquer kit. I love black sparkle, black galaxy, mardi gras and capri just as much as I love some of the pearls and glass wraps. Black is always classy and somehow solid/substantial looking. This new capri is a killer wrap. It was expensive but I'm so glad I did it. The kit came out killer. A keeper for sure.

Its real nice John!
Thank you!

John that's such a cool wrap. I like what I see in the colors but bet it's much more vivid in person. Great choice there!! Enjoy them, play them! :)
Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

Hey John, I'm really digging on those! Damn, you sure have one quality collection of drums!

Yeah you can tell that not all of the colors are showing up in the photos.
From one angle it looks bare in one spot, then from the other angle you can see all the blue showing up.
I'm sure the effect in person is awesome!
And having the edges redone is like having your cake and eating it too.
Beautiful drums.

I have to say I never thought I would like black either, until I found my Ebony wrap Rogers script badge kit. There is just something about them. Like a Ebony Grand Piano. If it's a nice black. Nice wrap on those Ludwigs John. I can tell that wrap is nice !
Thanks guys - It's one hell of a great sounding drum kit. I agree that there is just something 'classy' about black (like a grand piano! Good comparison.)
If anybody is interested in checking the wrap out for themselves, it's best to get a sample from Precision and see it right there in front of you. Photos are not doing it any justice. I'm digging my new/old drums. :p
John
Wow, that wrap is so cool. Those Luddies look fantastic.
Hmmm...now what can I put some of that wrap on?
