Dan good eyes!! Yes looks like a piece of foldover tag with rounded corners. I couldn't tell if there's a brass grommet in them. That I can't run through the offest press I use. There's rubber amd metal feed rollers that pull the paper into the grippers. Metal grommets are a no no on that. Those are normally done on a letter press (Klugie style and the likes) where each tag is picked up and pressed onto a plate. We used to have a old letter press for things like that but it broke last year and they guy doesn't want to fix it. But we'd use it for envelopes with metal clasps and brass grommets etc......

PM sent... I'll clean the scans, set-up output as 300 DPI for printing and if you're running more than one-up, I'll strip the job. Need to know:
Sheet-size - if applicable
Gripper & bend for the plate
Finished size
Printing one side only? I need to know if anything has to register front to back. Turn or tumble?
If you're running individual tags through the press I'll need to know if I'm running the copy head to foot or ta udder way.
Glad to help... write me a good job-ticket, pressman! lol
John

Glenn - send everything to my home email addy. I'll do as quick a turn-around as I can so we don't keep the boys waiting too long.
Very happy to be able to contribute...
John
PS - The guys don't know what a fluke it is that they have a stripper and a pressman as members of the same drum forum! If it was the good old days when shops flourished everywhere, we would have made a good business partner combination. I cover prep, you print the jobs. Money honey! (Not any more though! Sigh...)

Boy your not kidding! Wish I knew you like 25-30 years ago!! We would have made a good team! Man things sure have changed.
BTW returned your emails and sounds good. Keep me in the loop and if you need a font style (if you don't have it) I can get it.

Glenn - Tell me the name of the font and I'll see if I can find one set up for my Mac. If you have it in Mac format, just attach it to an email and I'll load it into the confuser.
This is the best way to go to insure clean copy...
John
I'll have to try to match it. I'll let you know asap. Thx.

Glenn - don't bother! I've magnified the original scan 400x's and I'm in the process of cleaning up the copy one letter at a time, one pixel at a time. It'll be as clean as I can make it when I'm done.
Hang in there, we're talking several hours of clean-up for each side of the tag. I was able to darken and sharpen the strainer image so it's easier to see and it just looks better. Simply a matter of time. I should have both sides knocked by end of day today. Look for a PM.
Keep your fingers crossed that we can use the original copy. If this nit-picking clean-up doesn't work, it's an Ariel font and I'll just re-write the copy on both sides. Either way, these tags are going to get done.
John
John sounds good. No rush on my end bud take your time. I'm a few weeks out from going on press with them. Sent you a EM too about the font. My bud matched one up if you need it.
