Original 1967 Dynasonic Instruction Tag Last viewed: 0 seconds ago

This is a tough call guys cause once they`re out there there`s no coming back.I understand your delema Glenn-if you put a repro print on them some may feel it would ruin the piece, but without... it opens many unknown doors for piracy and these can be reprinted countless times by others as you are well aware of.I think to 'error on the side of caution' may be the best choice here.Wish i had a better solution but i`m not a journeyman just a drummer wanting to share some joy in a 'little yellow tag'.

My opinion:

Anyone who thinks the item is 'ruined' by having it bear a mark indicating it's origin doesn't need to put one on their drum.

It's a free country...

I've been talking to, Glenn. He's going to add 'J&G 2013' in small print somewhere on the tags. That will make it easy for anyone to distinguish between an original and one of our repro's.

Problem solved... tags to follow in due time.

So, is the new 2013 copy in or out? Original copy, or labelled repro?

You have to let us know -before- Glenn goes to press. We can do this any way you guys want.

Thank you very much Wayne.

Please keep it as original to size and exact like it is and was with no modern additions.

That's the way the job is set up to print right now. I've got news for you, it won't be hard to tell the repro's from the originals anyway. The copy on the originals is -no where near- as clean as the copy I provided to Glenn. The type on the originals is broken up badly. Not from age either, the letters on the originals have been badly broken since the day it was printed. I cleaned all that up one letter at a time. The copy on the repro tags will look clear, legible and clean. No broken letters/copy anywhere. That, plus the fact that the tags will be printed on 'new' card/tag stock and it should be a breeze to tell originals apart from repro's.

That's one, 'leave it alone' vote from, Gary. Any 'nay' votes?

As the other donor of the original tag scans for this project,i would have to concur with Gary`s thoughts on this.Maybe it is best to keep it in it`s original form to preserve this little part of Rogers drum history.However...you guys have done all the work on these tags and because of that- i feel it should be left up to your discretion to make that final decision.Either way you both decide, i`m sure it will be fine with everyone involved.Lead the way guys and let the tags be printed...
